The Day of Balloons!

 Hi All,

WOW...........what's happened to the weather this week!

I've got a couple of quick cards to show you, before I head back out to the garden.
It's using the 'Pedal Presents' stamp set (a hostess set from the summer mini)

I just love can alter the image so easily by just adding an item, here and there, to your hearts
content; my stamp-a-ma-jig has come in really handy.

I know that was quick..........but thought you'd like to see what else we've been upto today.............can you guess?

Thanks Susan,  those water slings you gave them for Christmas have really come into there own........(good for the stomach muscles). You can see I was the target!!

I apologise to our neighbours that back onto us and anyone passing by..........they can reach great heights; even over the house!!
Of course boys will be BOYS.........however 'big' they are and they decided that if 2 people held the foot straps up high they could put even more tension on it!!
Sorry about the blurred picture only I was trying to move out of the way as the balloon was showering us from up high..........I just love the look on Robert's much effort...........(he won't be happy if he knows I've blogged this one.......oh well he's embarrassed me enough in the past - time to get my own back!)

It's all too much for the old one though!

The garden is a calling..........thank you for dropping in

The Open Sea

Hi All,

I recently went to a SU training day and this is the swap I took along. Notice the use again!
It uses all the stamps from The Open Sea stamp set. Sorry the photo is so poor.......but the colours in real life are Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla

I adapted the design, then changed the colours to Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Whisper White for a local cub group to make at the end of the month

It's so nice to have a set to use when making 'male' cards.......don't you agree?

Thanks for looking, happy crafting

Bordering on Romance

Hi All,

Met up with my 'Buddies' again today. We made 3 cards all using the Bordering on Romance set from the 'mini'. Lots of colouring and cutting out...........such a perfect set to decoupage!

The first is plain and simple............embossed give depth, without being too intrusive. The flowers are raised making 3 layers before being topped with a pearl; so definitely not one for Royal Mail!

Today's ink colours used were: Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight. (I wanted more subtle colours - than when colouring in using marker pens, so squeezed the ink pads and then picked up the colour from the lid using an aqua pen)

The one above used the new framelits, edgelits and different embossing folders.
The sentiment is from Create a Cupcake, (fingers crossed - let's hope this set makes it into the main catalogue in October!)

Lastly..................a fancy fold, with added bird and gorgeous pleated satin ribbon

Thanks for looking

Hi All,

Just another quick post today, sorry for the poor photography!
I had a couple of Anniversary cards to for me and one for a friend, so I thought I'd share.

Both were in Cherry Cobbler and used some 'New' items from the Mini.

'Apothecary Art' stamped in Stazon on water coloured paper and cut out using the framelits

The bird house is using products from the Main Catalogue with the exception of the 'edgelits' scallops

Hope you've enjoyed looking

'Old' Meets 'New'

Hi All,

I had a 60th card to make, so decided to use a 'New' stamp set called Bordering on Romance with the retired colour Orchid Opulence.

This is fast becoming one of my favourite stamp sets from the Mini. It is so easy to colour, cut around and layer up (especially if you're not having to post it!). I've teamed it up with the 'New' framelits another must have for my 'Big Shot' collection.............I'm sure you're going to see alot more of these too!!

Simple.........but effective, don't you think?

Thanks for popping by

Hi All,

Here's a couple of samples I made using one of the 'New' sets from the Mini.
It's called 'Love & Laughter'

I wanted to keep them fairly plain, and chose to just use Whisper White cardstock.

The stamping was embossed with silver, I embossed the 2nd card with one of the new folders and finished by adding rhinestones and organza ribbon.

The layers are all laid flat;  the embossed layer helps to create some has to think of postage............'thank you Royal Mail!'

Hope you've enjoyed your visit, thank you for dropping by
