Flower Punches

Hi All,

This card was made for a friend to give to her Mum; using the 'Big Shot' and several punches.
The chosen colour combo was Concord Crush, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight with leaves in Old Olive.

I used the Framelits Die to cut out an aperture on the front of the card, so that the silver embossed sentiment could show through............simple but effective, don't you think?

Thanks for dropping by, happy crafting

Bordering on Romance

Hi All,

Met up with my 'Buddies' again today. We made 3 cards all using the Bordering on Romance set from the 'mini'. Lots of colouring and cutting out...........such a perfect set to decoupage!

The first is plain and simple............embossed hearts..........help give depth, without being too intrusive. The flowers are raised making 3 layers before being topped with a pearl; so definitely not one for Royal Mail!

Today's ink colours used were: Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight. (I wanted more subtle colours - than when colouring in using marker pens, so squeezed the ink pads and then picked up the colour from the lid using an aqua pen)

The one above used the new framelits, edgelits and different embossing folders.
The sentiment is from Create a Cupcake, (fingers crossed - let's hope this set makes it into the main catalogue in October!)

Lastly..................a fancy fold, with added bird and gorgeous pleated satin ribbon

Thanks for looking

French Foliage

Hi All,

I met up with my long lost 'Buddies' today, (it's been so long - the summer hols got in the way:), we made a variety of cards using this gorgeous stamp set.

One of the designs I have shown you already and another one's been tweaked slightly.

Here's a simple 9.5cm square card, stamped in River Rock and Always Artichoke. The leaf image has been stamped off first and then rolled in the ink pad again to create a darker border around the outside edge.

I just love the autumn season.........isn't nature wonderful; it amazes me how many different colours a leaf can change into.............so this is the effect I was hoping to achieve in the making of the next card. (Joesph's Technicolour Dream Coat......I think they call it)

I started off with Whisper White card stock and daubed More Mustard, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze all over it........so no white could be seen. Then randomly stamped the leaf images in Versa Mark ink, covered this with clear embossing powder and set with the heat tool. (You can just about make the leaf shapes out in the photo)

I then covered the whole card stock in Chocolate Chip ink using my brayer. Don't worry......... when finished just gently rub over with kitchen towel to expose the coloured leaves.

Here's the finished card...........

............hope you've enjoyed, thanks for dropping on by
