18th Birthday Cards

Hi All,

I was asked by someone to make 18th birthday cards for their twins. The remit was to be classy and have 18 on them..............so hoping I'd understood the instructions, this is what I came up with.

They are both A5 cards. The first one is in Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Old Olive, I stamped the background with the large stamp from the SAB set called 'Bliss', and then used the ever faithful 'Baroque Motif' swirls in Old Olive. These I decorated with pearls and handmade roses.

The second one, was in Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight, using the 'Vintage Vogue' stamp set and topped off with rhinestone gems and gorgeous Razzleberry satin ribbon. I'm surprised it made it to the card............I just wanted to stroke it............(I know it's sad, but I've only just purchased it!!)

They turned out to be a bit too traditional, he wanted a more minimalistic look..........so here's design No. 3.

A much simpler card altogether, but using the vibrant colours of Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo. The flowers are from the 'Cottage Garden' set.

It 'hit the nail on the head' and was the chosen design..........so for the other card, I used the same colours and just swapped them around

So..............which card is your favourite?
Please leave a comment, I'd be interested to know.

  1. Hi Jane
My favourite of the four is the Baroque Motifs one however it was followed closely by the Pacific Point one which had a much younger and vibrant feel to it and not my normal choice.

  2. Thanks Maria,
It's not normally my style either, but I'm warming to the simplicity of the overall effect
