'Manhattan Flower'

Hi All,

I suppose, I should be showing 'wedding' themed cards................after yesterday. Wasn't it beautiful, I was so glad to have the day off and be able to follow the proceedings........truly a day to remember.

The cards I am showing you today, are all made using the 'Manhattan Flower' embossing folder.

The first is simplicity, at it's best..............embossed on shimmer cardstock, a stamped sentiment with an added pearl........... what could be easier?

For the second one, I cut around the embossed design before layering on coloured card. The embossing is done on whisper white, but I brayered pink onto the embossing folder before putting it through the 'Big Shot'. Then carefully added Versa Mark, heat and stick powder and glitter to the raised edges of the flowers.

The final one, is based on a card from Dannie's designs

Hope you've enjoyed looking, thank you for popping by

Happy Easter

Hi,

I just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Easter. I'm at work for the whole of this time; but I hope you enjoy whatever you are getting upto.

I haven't been crafting since the boys have been off school........because the garden's been a calling. Doesn't it make you feel great to be alive when you see everything blooming and the sky so blue?

This photo was taken earlier in the week, but now my garden looks like it's snowed, because both the apple trees, pear and plum have started to lose their petals.........Anyway enough of my drivel.............

A couple of quick cards using 'A Good Egg' and 'I Believe' stamp sets.

Till the next time,

Simple Men's Cards

Hi All,

I've a free and peaceful moment.
I've finished work and gardening for today..........the boys are watching Dr. Who! Yippee..........why isn't it on for 2 hours, I ask myself?!

Never mind, here are the photo's I promised you ages ago.........and there goes the phone!! (It's my sister seen what's on the TV and she knows I'll be free.....LOL!!)

It's done in Baja Breeze and soft suede. The patchwork effect is made by punching out squares of DSP, daubing the edges and then sticking to plain paper before cutting out with the 'top note' die

And there's a couple I made with retired supplies. These I made as above and then put through the big shot with a textured plate.

A very quick and simple boat.........but I just love how we can now add the texture to our designs, don't you?

Thanks for persevering, enjoy the Easter break

Computer's been sick!!

Hi All, So sorry about the lack of posts........my computer's been ill.........caught a bug! It had a short holiday and now feels refreshed! I on the other hand have done little crafting; the weather's been drawing me into the garden, and I'm now slowly re-organising the flower beds. Will be back shortly with the pics I promised. Jane x

Let's fly!

Hi All, Here are a couple more cards for men; it's from the Plane & Simple set (found in the mini, on page14). I just love the sketchy look of this set, and have basically used Crumb Cake and Soft Suede The planes have been embossed with clear embossing powder and I added 'Crystal Effects' to make the goggles lens have a more 3D look
The scrappy piece of notepaper started out as a piece of Very Vanilla........and by using a Sahara Sand Marker I inked the lines from the frame in Noteably Ornate, then just positioned them with the Stamp-a-ma-jig

Hopefully, I'll drop back tomorrow with a some more very quick and easy men's cards.......just got to find the camera first!

More New Goodies!

Hi All, Today's 'Big Shot' project.......are these gorgeous mini boxes in Rose Red and Sweet & Sour DSP. They're made from the envelope die, (you need 4 to make one box). It's self explanatory really, join the side of the envelopes together to form a square, then fold the non frilly flaps under for the base and the top flap folds outward to make a decorative edge. I added a water coloured flower and leaves from the bird punch to finish. They are just the right size to hold my April 'thank you' cards (Itty Bitty Bits). There are 3 tiny punches and shaped buttons to go with this set, SU thinks of everything! The added butterflies are from a new 'embosslit' die (Beautiful Wings), these cut and emboss at the same time

I was having so much fun, I even added multi-coloured butterflies to decorate chocolates

Thanks for looking

New Mini Catalogue is HERE !!

Hi All, What a glorious day day it is, the sun's shining, birds are singing and...........the 'mini' has gone live!! There's so much to let you know about and show you. Of course the biggest news is we have the 'Big Shot'.... yes.......THE 'BIG SHOT'.........(hope you covered your ears then....LOL!!) Thank you to all of you, that supported me with the launch day............you'll be pleased to know the orders have been placed. If you haven't clapped your eyes on a catalogue, you can either click on the sidebar picture to view online; or......if you don't already have a demonstrator, drop me a line and I'll pop one in the post to you.
Now, I suppose I ought to show you at least one project I've made! These bookmarks are taken from an idea shown by Dawn Griffiths. Each design is cut out from a 'Big Shot' die. I stitched the ribbon on and glued in between the layers, as I didn't wish them to fall apart. I'll put more 'Big Shot' projects on the blog as the days go by...........but there's loads of other stuff too! Like..........images for men. I always have problems creating men's cards, so the inclusion of 2 single stamps are a godsend. The 1st, a very simple card, with the addition of eyelets and crystal effects. The 2nd a sailing boat; which in this instance I decided to get my brayer out and play!! I then decoupaged the sails and spritzed the sea with shimmer paint for that extra little sparkle (I think you can just make it out in the photo).

Then, on another one......I made a boo boo - getting marks on the finished image, (being a true crafter) I was determined not to throw it away and decided to try and disguise them, by slotting it into part of a distressed map. Distressing is really not my style, I hated screwing up brand new DSP........LOL!!.........but I'm happy with the overall effect.

Maybe I'll have to give it another go......what do you think?

Bye for now
